Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your email address and assign you a unique user ID. This is used solely to authenticate you and store your data. If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive only Apple's private relay address.

Teacher link. If you link your account to a teacher with a teacher code, we store that teacher's name and school on your account so the app can show you their sets. Your teacher does not receive your email or your own sets.

Learning content. Sets and sentences you create or edit are stored in your account to provide the core functionality of the app.

Purchase history. If you subscribe to Langcrafto Premium, your subscription status and purchase history are processed to unlock premium features.

Voice recordings. If you use the microphone feature, your voice is sent to your device's speech recognition service (Google on Android, Apple on iOS) for real-time transcription. We do not store or receive your audio.

Device identifiers. On Android, your device's advertising ID and installation ID are collected by our advertising and analytics providers. On iOS, the app does not track you: it does not access the advertising ID, and all ads are non-personalised. In the EU, UK and Switzerland, you can change your ad consent at any time in the app's Settings.

App interactions. General usage signals are collected to serve ads and maintain app functionality.

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — authentication and cloud storage (privacy policy)
• Google AdMob — advertising (privacy policy)
• RevenueCat — subscription management (privacy policy)
• Anthropic — AI sentence generation, see "AI Sentence Generation" below (privacy policy)
• Google / Apple — on-device speech recognition

AI Sentence Generation. When you create a set, the app sends the options you chose to Anthropic, PBC (Claude AI) through our server: learning and translation languages, level, grammar, tense, topic, verbs, sentence type, and any text you type into these options. Your name, email address, user ID and other account details are not sent. Anthropic uses this data only to generate the sentences for your set. The app asks for your permission before it sends anything to Anthropic for the first time; if you don't allow it, no data is sent and no set is created. Anthropic processes this data under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to use the data to train its models and which provide the same or equal protection as this policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To sync your learning sets across sessions
• To process and verify your subscription
• To serve ads to non-premium users
• To generate AI-powered learning sentences based on your preferences

4. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed from our servers.

5. Your Rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account tab in the app. You may also submit a deletion request via the request form.

6. Children

Langcrafto is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are below the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country (up to 16 in some EU countries), a parent or guardian must give that consent for you.

Ads shown in the app are limited to content suitable for teenagers. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
